Riding an Awesome Wave

18-04-2016 - 14:42

Did you know there could be more plastic than fish in our seas by 2050?

This according to an Ellen MacArthur backed study, made public earlier this year.

Right now there are 175 communities across the UK taking action against the growth of marine litter. Led by the good folks at Surfers against Sewage in association with Parley for Oceans, the Big Spring Beach Clean is currently in action across 200 beaches in the UK.

Plastics collected during this year's Big Spring Beach Clean will be stored in a shipping container at the Surfers Against Sewage HQ in Cornwall and then distributed to Parley's global collaborator network to ensure as much as possible is diverted away from landfill and recycled into new products.

TITAN are proud to have supplied said container, re-decalled in the appropriate SAS livery for this event.

The ongoing flow of plastic into the sea is a global issue, not just a local one.
